 It’s now easier than ever to add to your family’s financial security by enrolling for up to $500,000 of association-sponsored Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) – with no exams or health questions.

 You can choose $500,000,  $250,000 or $100,000 of coverage at attractive group rates. For example, $250,000 of coverage costs just $21.25 per month (see chart below for costs of other amounts, and to insure your spouse).

 No one anticipates dying in an accident, but according to the National Safety Council’s 2010 Injury Facts®, accidents take 118,000 American lives every year — making accidents the leading cause of death for all Americans up to age 44, and the fifth leading cause of death in the U.S. overall.

 AD&D is an economical alternative to buying more life insurance. It can help protect your family from financial hardship should an accidental death strike.  This policy provides benefits for accidental loss of life, as well as specific injuries, including loss of sight, hand, or foot.  The policy is available to members under age 65 and you may also include coverage for your lawful spouse (if under age 65) and dependent children age 15 days to 18 (or 25 if a full time student).

 Plan exclusions:

No benefits will be paid for any loss that results from or is caused directly or indirectly by:

Suicide; or intentionally self-inflicted injury,

Insurrection, war, or act of war,

Physical or mental sickness, or treatment of that sickness,

Voluntary intake of poison, drugs, gas or fumes, unless taken as prescribed by a physician,

Committing a crime, or an attempt to do so,

Being intoxicated or under the influence of any drug, unless taken as prescribed by a physician,

Flight in any type of aircraft if you are the pilot, or member of the crew.

Choose the coverage amount that fits your family’s needs

Monthly cost for unmarried, dependent children age 15 days to age 18 (or full time student to age 25) is $2.00 for each $10,000 of coverage.

For semi-annual premiums, multiply the monthly premium shown by 6; for annual premiums, multiply by 12.
