Cost Containment Coordinator
Summary Description
This is a newly created position in the Benefits Department.
This individual will report directly to the Director of Benefits.
They will be responsible for all aspects of the Cost Containment
program being developed in the Benefits area. This will be
a non-exempt position with the possibility of becoming exempt
at a later date.
Areas of Responsibilities
• Coordinating the use of outside vendors for
the repricing of Non Network claims
• Internal Fee Negotiation with Non-Network facilities
and providers
• Ensure that proper invoicing is done and payment is
made or received for successful negotiation of claims
• Interact with Account Management staff to ensure that
we have approval to negotiate for discounts at the client
level
• Will work to develop the pre and post hospital audit
process for implementation in the next several weeks
• Will coordinate the hospital audit process with the
selected vendor(s)
• Will work to develop and implement a comprehensive
Fraud and Abuse program for the Benefits area.
• Will interact with Provider Relations staff to ensure
that the proper transfer of information is completed
• Will interact with all levels of management to provide
ongoing information on the success of the programs.
As this is a newly created position, responsibilities may
be changed as deemed necessary by the Director of Benefits.
