I. Introduction

We are pleased to present the Online Insurance Handbook. It includes up-to-date information on the insurance that is made available to you and your family members. This insurance program was adopted by Delta Kappa Gamma years ago, in 1968, at the New York convention. It is overseen by the Non-Dues Revenue Committee, which is appointed by the president at the beginning of each biennium. The committee consists of one member from each of the regions.

The program is designed and operated for the exclusive benefit of the members of Delta Kappa Gamma. Coverages offered through the program are intended to be supplemented to other insurance the member has, whether as a dependent, through an employer, or through Medicare. Each has been chosen to fill a particular need of the members. The policies are underwritten by several insurance companies, which were selected on a competitive basis. Under the guidance of the Insurance Committee, the insurance plans have been continuously improved with regard to meeting the members' needs. The program has been managed and administered since its inception by Boon-Chapman, which is located near The Delta Kappa Gamma International headquarters in Austin, Texas. Thousands of members have participated in the program and have received millions of dollars in benefits.

Boon-Chapman is proud to have had the privilege of knowing and working with thousands of Delta Kappa Gamma members for more than 35 years. We pledge to continue providing excellent coverage and personal attention. Thank you for your participation and support. We look forward to serving you.

Sincerely,

Nyle Leftwich

IV. Payment

Choose Your Payment Method

You may pay by Premium Notice on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. Notices are mailed before the 10th of the month prior to the due date of the invoice.

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) - You may pay your premiums by bank draft through an automated system called Electronic Funds Transfer, or EFT, on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. To pay by EFT, all you need to do is a sign a card, which gives the bank the authorization to withdraw premium payments from your account. It is automatic, so there is no chance of forgetting to pay a premium and having your coverage accidentally lapse just when you may need it most.

Grace Period

A 30-day grace period is provided for the payment of all renewal premiums. A notice will be mailed to you before the date your premiums are due in order to give you ample time to send in your payment.

Continuation

Coverage can be continued for as long as the program remains in force, & as long as your premiums are paid. Eligibility for enrollment in future programs is contingent upon your continued membership in the Society.
