Boon-Chapman has been active in the administration of COBRA since 1985. Our standard program includes sending notification letters, tracking COBRA time limits, billing and collection of funds. Our claims system interfaces with this service to prevent payment of claims unless funding is current. As an alternative to our full service program, we can provide billing and collection on a per occurrence basis. COBRA administration includes all notifications required by law, paid premium tracking, premium acceptance, deposits and reports.

It is our intent to keep the client informed about the status of their participants, therefore, COBRA reports are sent to each group monthly. These reports include a voucher listing each participant's payment, an enrolled status report listing enrolled and pending qualified beneficiaries and the event date, term date and paid through date, if applicable.

In addition, we will issue Certificates of Creditable Coverage as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). We offer both of these services to our self-funded clients as well as on a stand-alone basis.
